Information We Collect

The app does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to enter your name, email address, phone number, location, photographs, contacts, or payment information.

The app does not intentionally collect personal information from users through account registration, forms, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or social sign-in.

Information Processed When the App Connects to Our Server

The app connects to our server to download and search chemical information. When your device requests chemical data from the server, standard technical information may be processed by the server as part of normal internet communication.

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Requested API endpoint
  • Search or filter query sent by the app
  • Basic technical information needed to deliver the response

This information is used only to provide the app’s chemical database functionality, maintain service reliability, troubleshoot technical issues, and protect the security of the service.

Emergency Phone Numbers

The app includes emergency contact numbers. If you tap a callable phone number, the app asks your device to open the phone dialer using a telephone link.

The app does not place calls by itself, does not record calls, and does not collect or store call history.

Device Permissions

The current version of the app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth, or push notifications.

If a future version adds features that require permissions, we will update this Privacy Policy and the app will request permission through the operating system before accessing protected device features.

How We Use Information

Any technical information processed through the app or server is used to:

  • Provide chemical database search and lookup functionality
  • Return chemical safety information requested by the app
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems
  • Maintain server security and service availability
  • Improve the reliability and quality of the app

We do not use information from the app for advertising, user profiling, sale of personal data, or cross-app tracking.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share limited technical information only when necessary with service providers who help us host, maintain, secure, or support the app and its server infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, lawful government request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, the app, or our systems.

Data Retention

The app does not maintain user accounts or user profiles.

Server logs and technical records, if generated by our hosting systems, are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, service maintenance, legal compliance, or business continuity.

When no longer needed, logs are deleted or anonymized according to our operational practices.

International Processing

The app may be used from different countries, and server or support services may process technical information in locations where our service providers operate.

Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the app and related server systems.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

First Responders ZA is intended for first responders, emergency personnel, trained professionals, and other appropriate users who need chemical safety reference information. It is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.

Your Rights and Choices

Because the current version of the app does not provide user accounts or intentionally collect profile information, there may be no account data for us to access, correct, or delete.

If you have questions about information associated with your use of the app or wish to make a privacy request, contact us at info@flamengro.co.za .

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the app or the location where this Privacy Policy is published.
